30 minute walk along north-east edge of the wood. Rather overcast at the time. This used to be my go-to site for silver-washed 15 years ago (and purple hairstreak) - many of the brambles that used to be their favoured spots are shaded out now, so I reckon even it were sunny it would not have been a patch on what it used to be. Meadow brown with unusual markings seen - see photo.
