I have been trying to find Purple Emperors in the Forest (or White Admirals) without success but have submitted this sighting because of a good close confirmed sighting of the white letter hairstreak (my first). This was at the location labeled ‘cluster Oak’ on a signboard. Also the scarlet tiger moth this evening was pleasing. Otherwise saw a few skippers and lots of Ringlets. There were some fritillary type too but couldn’t get close enough to confirm ID. Thanks
