This is a tiny piece of grassland (30metres by 10 metres at its widest) in an urban setting in Devizes, that has temporarily been allowed to grow. It is normally mowed regularly each year. Sadly it is under threat of development for housing. The site also has pyramidal orchids on it. It is adjacent to a road in Devizes. I'm collecting records as evidence of its local conservation importance. I was delighted to see both brown argus and small copper here. Both species food plants are in the sward, amongst other wild flowers.
