10.45 - 12.45. Wasn't sure about the forecast, but thought I'd take a chance and it worked out OK. Overcast, so butterflies very sluggish. Mostly settled apart from during the occasional burst of sunshine and when I disturbed them as I passed. Peak marjoram along the sunnier rides and open slopes. Bramble and some patches of hemp agrimony also popular. Hoped/expected to see more DGF, and skippers surprisingly scarce - maybe because they are less noticeable when settled?
