Euclidia glyphica
Forewing length: 13 – 15mm
Description
Forewing brown with two darker cross bands and a blotch near the tip. Hindwing dark brown, outer half yellow with a brown band across and veins through the yellow. Flies like a butterfly and usually settles with some yellow showing.
Flight Period
May to July.
Laval Food plants
Clovers, Bird’s-foot-trefoil, Vetches.
Habitat
Grassland, road verges, woodland rides.
Wiltshire Status
Common.
